Join Aker BP and Optilift at the International Offshore Crane & Lifting Conference!

On Thursday April 25th, Svein Harald Hetland from Aker BP and Torbjørn Engedal from Optilift will present the joint development project on remote control system for offshore cranes.

Optilift is currently working closely with Aker BP to develop new technology for enabling remote controlled offshore cranes. Svein Harald Hetland, Technical Authority for Crane and Lifting in Aker BP will together with Torbjørn Engedal, CTO and Founder of Optilift, provide their updates on the latest technology development and the business motivation for remote controlled cranes. An insight into the details and solutions will be provided.

The presentation starts at 14:00 on Thursday April 25th at Clarion Hotel Stavanger.

At 15:00, a panel discussion will take place addressing “Challenges and opportunities with material handling to and from unmanned installations”. Panel members are Nils Martin Justad (Equinor), Sigve Knudsen (PSA Norway), Maro Hartmann (Lloyd Register), Svein Harald Hetland (Aker BP) and Torbjørn Engedal (Optilift).
